Geoid velocity added

To correct for the vertical drift between reference frames, the velocity of the geoid height (VN) is now calculated and incorporated into the calculation of the orthometric height. View documentation to learn more.

Unless otherwise noted, all displayed uncertainties are computed at the 68% (1-sigma) confidence level.

Changing these fields will auto-update the station coordinate information below.

The velocities are interpolated from the national Velocity Grid version 7.0.

Location

QUAD is a continuously tracking GNSS site.

This station is part of the Western Canada Deformation Array (WCDA) as well as the Canadian Active Control System (CACS). The GPS reference mark consists of a stainless steel plate with a forced centered bolt. The stainless steel plate is the top surface of a stainless steel pedestal fastened in bedrock using 4 stainless steel threaded rods and epoxy grout. The pedestal is: 1.2 metres high 0.152m in diameter. The antenna is fastened to the pedestal using a tamper resistant mechanism which permits orientation of the antenna.
